Dr. Geries spoke about the phenomenon of Christian emigration in the last one hundred years. He focused on Al-Liqa’s special conference on emigration and the questionnaire and other field studies concerning reasons for emigration. Clearly, Israeli occupation is the main factor behind emigration. He denied that religious factors are leading to emigration, and he added that only a number of Christians underlines this factor. The majority of Muslims are not extremists. This meeting is one of several meetings that are being organized by Al-Liqa’ Center.
