The lecture by Professor Haidar, an expert on Israeli affairs, was attended by community leaders, academicians as well as friends of Al-Liqa’ both men and women. Professor Haidar focused on Israeli political parties and the Israeli street and their reaction to the war. He spoke of Israeli leaders who ignored in their decisions the approval of the cabinet ministers. Netanyahu, the prime minister, was criticized and accused by many of dictatorship. The present Israeli leadership is not committed to the resolution of the Palestinian Israeli conflict. Instead, managing a never ending conflict is their ultimate goal.
Professor Haidar’s lively lecture was followed with a question and an answer session.
