Prof. ‘Abd Al-Rahman ‘Abbad, member of Al-Liqa’s Board of Trustees, was honored in Jericho by H. E. President Mahmoud ‘Abbas’ representative Dr. Sa’eb Erekat was awarded a distinguished medal for science, culture and arts. Greetings for this occasion was presented by the Governor of Jericho, Majed Al-Fitiani, H. E. Sheikh ‘Ikrima Sabri, Chair of the Higher Islamic Council in Jerusalem, H. E. Bishop ‘Atallah Hanna who represented Al-Liqa’ Center, and H. E. Sheikh Harb, Director of the Orphanage Institute. Dr. Sa’eb Erekat spoke on behalf of President ‘Abbas.
Mr. Musa Darwish, Vice Director of Al-Liqa Center attended also the event.
While Prof. ‘Abbad thanked President ‘Abbas and Dr. Erekat for the awards and all those who attended this distinguished evening.
