Dr. Mahdi Abdul Hadi was supposed to have lectured on the topic but military check points prevented him from coming. The event at Al-Liqa\u2019 was attended by community leaders, academicians and many friends of Al-Liqa\u2019. The forum eventually was an open one in which H. B. Patriarch Michael Sabbah led the discussion which revolved around Al-Liqa\u2019 Center following the sudden death of its director, Dr. Geries S. Khoury and problems facing Palestinian society.<\/p>\n
Several persons followed Patriarch Sabbah and all focused on the strengthening of Muslim-Christian relations in light of what is happening around us in the region like the destruction of history and civilization as well as the abuse of human rights. All discussants stressed the importance of official and non-official education in the making of our children\u2019s personalities in school and the role of parents in the education of their children.
