E. Sheikh \u2018Isam Rumman and Dr. Geries S. Khoury took part. The panel was moderated by Fr. Dr. Louis Hazboun who welcomed all those attending the event and underlined the importance of holding these events.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Sheikh Abu Rumman focused on the importance of Omar\u2019s Covenant. It is an important historical document indicating clearly the tolerance of Islam and the just Caliph Omar.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Geries S. Khoury focused in his book on Patriarch Sophronius and Omar\u2019s Covenant. He gave a new reading to the Covenant indicating the various phases of it.
