In cooperation with the department of Religious Studies at Bethlehem University, A panel was held to discuss the book that was published by Al-Liqa\u2019 and Sabeel Centers. Panellists included Fr. Dr. Rafiq Khoury and Dr. Barakat Hasan. Fr. Dr. Iyad Twal, chair of the Department of Religious Studies moderated the panel.<\/p>\n
Administrators, deans, chairs and lecturers as well as students attended this event. Fr. Twal welcomed the attendees and thanked both centres and hoped that further cooperation will continue between the centres and the university faculty and students.<\/p>\n
The content of the book on \u201cPeaceful Resistance in Islam and Christianity\u201d was examined by Fr. Rafiq and Dr Barakat and both stresed the need for our people to become familiar with true face of both religions.<\/p>\n
Both added that peaceful resistance needs broad popular support in order to achieve a just solution to the Palestinian Problem.<\/p>\n
A question and an answer session and commentary by teachers and students followed.<\/p>\n
