Mr. Ibrahim Fawzi Odeh of the Cultural Diwan of Beit Sahour welcomed all attendees and was followed by Dr. Geries S. Khoury, Director of Al-Liqa\u2019 Center, the moderator of this cultural evening who spoke briefly on Al-Liqa\u2019 Center and its various activities including its objective and its publication activities. Dr. Khoury spoke of Prof. Shomali\u2019s association with Al-Liqa\u2019 including this latter\u2019s publication of Prof. Shomali\u2019s Al-Carmel newspaper.<\/p>\n
Dr. Khoury then introduced Mrs. Maha Sacca, the Director of Palsetine Heritage Center who spoke on the importance of documenting Folk Heritage and thanked Prof. Shomali on his great work on Palestinian Folk Heritage.<\/p>\n
On his part, Prof. Shomali surveyed the content of his work and the various stages of Folk Heritage in Palestine.<\/p>\n
