Al-Liqa\u2019 Center organized an event at Jacir Palace to introduce Fr. Rafiq\u2019s book which was published earlier in June 2012 by Al-Liqa\u2019 Center. Leading religious and secular personalities attended this gathering. H.B. Michael Sabbah of the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem, H.E. Bishop Butus Malki, head of Assyrian Catholic Church, and Sheikh \u2018Abd Al-Majeed \u2018Ata, the Mufti of Bethlehem were among the leading personalities.<\/p>\n
Dr. Geries S. Khoury welcomed all those attending this event including the author of this work, Fr. Rafiq Khoury who is playing a leading role at Al-Liqa\u2019 Center. The importance of the work is seen in the content of the book. H.E. Michael Sabbah focused on the author who is well known for his frankness, his thought, his humility, and his love for all men who are created by God. He is a man of faith and prayer. H.E. Michael Sabbah spoke of the importance of the work which comprises many articles of importance which clearly indicate the love of Fr. Rafiq for his religion, his people, his work and for open borders between everyone.<\/p>\n
On his part, Fr. Rafiq thanked H.B. Michael Sabbah for introducing his work stressing in the process Fr. Sabbah\u2019s support for him and for Al-Liqa\u2019 Center\u2019s sponsering the publication of the book. The author added that this book is part of four volumes which will be published soon.<\/p>\n
