A delegation from Al-Liqa\u2019 Center\u2019s Board of Trustees comprising Dr. Geries S. Khoury, Mr. Mousa Darwish and Mr. Lawrence Sammour took part in the interfaith dialogue meeting at the Notre Dame Center which was organized on 11 May 2009 in conjunction with the Pope\u2019s presence in this meeting. Al-Liqa\u2019s delegation members were invited by the Apostolic Delegate in Jerusalem. The Pope spoke on the importance and the need for interfaith dialogue between faiths and civilizations in order to achieve peace, justice and the living together which are all built on mutual respect. It must be noted that Prof. Thiab Ayyoush, Vice President of Al-Liqa\u2019s Board, was not given permission by the Israeli Military to attend this meeting.<\/p>\n
