The Civil Defense in the Bethlehem Governorate presented the youth of Al-Liqa’ nine training sessions in civil defense at Al-Liqa’ and in the Civil Defense Center in Bethlehem. The training comprised theoretical and practical sessions.

Graduation ceremonies took place at Al-Liqa’ and were attended by Al-Liqa’s Director, Dr. Geries S. Khoury and the Deputy Director of Al-Liqa’, Mr. Mousa Darwish and the Director of Civil Defense in the Governorate, Commander Khalifa Al-Talahmi and other officers as well as Al-Liqa’s youth supervisors, Mrs. Sima al-Ghawali, Mr. George Maria and Ms. Marian Bassous.

      

Ceremonies began when Mrs. Sima al-Ghawali thanked the Civil Defense officers and the great efforts they had exerted in the training sessions. She thanked as well Al-Liqa’s youth for their dedication and commitment.

Dr. Geries S. Khoury, likewise, thanked civil defense officers and especially Mr. Hassan Abu ‘Alia who trained Al-Liqa’s youth and Commander Khalifa Al-Talahmi of the Civil Defense forces in Bethlehem. Dr. Geries also focused on Al-Liqa’ Center and its various programs and their service to the Palestinians.

The youth Ishaq Al-Hroub spoke on behalf of Al-Liqa’s youth thanking in the process the Civil Defense and those in charge of Al-Liqa’s youth.

Following the various speeches, the ceremonies of distributing Civil Defense certificates to Al-Liqa’s graduating youth. Certificates, as well, were given to the supervisors of Al-Liqa’s youth program. Likewise, Al-Liqa’s Center presented a Shield of appreciation to the Civil Defense forces in the Governorate for their excellent efforts to spread Civil Defense awareness among the people of the Governorate Commander Khalifa Al-Talahmi, in concluding the ceremonies, thanked Al-Liqa’ Center and its Youth Program.
